Newarkfest '97 is coming your way!

Newarkfest '97 is just a couple of months away, and plans are underway to make this year's event the most successful yet. The fun is scheduled for Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8.

According to Chairman Dave Henrichon, food vendors and arts, and crafters from all over the state are reserving booths. electric service trenchThis year, there will be three free concerts - Alpha Delta Nik is scheduled for Friday, June 6, Ruby Shooz will play on Saturday night, June 7, John Rossbach and Chestnut Grove will play traditional American folk music on Sunday, June 8, from 2-4 p.m. at the T. Spencer Knight Park along the Erie Canal.

There will be parades, a car show, an RV show, a Farm Bureau exhibit for the first time, and ongoing entertainment each day. This is a family event that you won't want to miss.

Henrichon said that by closing off the streets to traffic during Newarkfest, people of all ages and ability can make their way to see all electric service trenchof the vendors and activities that go on. St. Michael's Parish Festival will also be held during Newarkfest.
