Cemetery Tour in Newark

The Arcadia Historical Society will conduct walking tours of the Newark Cemetery on N. Main St. on Friday and Saturday, October 17-18, at 7:30 p.m.

Various grave sites include a Revolutionary War veteran, Civil War veterans, a former slave, an early physician, Joseph Miller (the founder of Newark), Stephen Culver, and others. Members and others from the community will portray each of those on the tour, who will have scripts telling of their importance to our village.

Tickets will be $5 and can be purchased the evenings of the tour. Cider and doughnuts will be available immediately after.
