New manager at Ronald McDonald House Cher Niedermaier, of Marion, began her official duties as the new House Manager of the Rochester-based Ronald McDonald House in June 1997. Cher has been known to the Ronald McDonald for over three years as a tutor of hospitalized children at Strong Memorial Hospital. She works closely with the patient and the family to keep their lives as normal as possible during medical treatment periods. Cher has been a music teacher since 1973 and presently tutors hospitalized and homebound children who are under medical care. Cher and her husband, Jim, are the parents of two children, Christy and Andy, both now in college. A son, Joel, died from a bicycle accident in 1988. top of
