NHS Wrestler of the Week

The Newark High School Varsity wrestler of the week is freshman Justin Rotach. Newark faced two teams last week, Penn Yan and Victor. Rotach defeated two good senior wrestlers from those squads. He decisioned his Penn Yan opponent Adam Mowry by a pin and decisioned his Victor opponent 9-3.

He wrestled on the high school team last year and has shown tremendous improvement in one year. With seven wins already this year, Rotach is a strong possibility for Newark's Varsity 20-Plus Win club this season.
