

Driver gets seven
traffic tickets
Slush
on the road caused a one-car accident Friday morning (Feb. 14) in
the Town of Arcadia, on Route 88 North. State Trooper John Kesel
said the driver of the 1984 Chevy was issued seven tickets.
Melanie Wemesfelder, 24, of Sodus was southbound when her car hit
slush, spun 360 degrees, and went into a drainage ditch.
Wemesfelder hit her head on the windshield.
Her
passengers were taken to Newark Hospital by Fairville and NAVA
ambulances: Rachel Curnow, 19, has a broken vertebra; her 1
9-month-old son, Tyler Gokey was not hurt. Kesel said Wemesfelder
must answer charges in Arcadia Court on Feb. 27. The charges:
Failure to keep right; unsafe tires; Aggravated Unauthorized
Operation 3rd - driving while license suspended; uninspected,
uninsured, unregistered vehicle; and switched plates.
