AECC opened this week
It was
in February 1994 that the Alex Eligh Community Center was
condemned, closed and nearly razed. Citizens, however, rejected
that plan for the future and, instead, rallied to save the
80-year-old building.
The
Center opened Wednesday, after three years of temporary
operations from rental property on South Main St.
