County approves 1997 salaries

The Wayne County Board of Supervisors has approved the following salary schedule for certain county officers:

• Sheriff Richard Pisciotti - $56,675
• Treasurer Thomas Warnick - $46,753
• County Clerk Linda Shaffer - $46,753
• Comm. of Social Services Rita Otterbein - $67,097
• County Administrator Dan Kane - $63,963
• Public Defender Ron Valentine - $59,084
• Fire Coordinator Rick Bond (part-time) - $ 18,952
• Planning DirectorSharon Lilla-$43,013
• Personnel Officer Peter Stirpe - $46,753
• Dir. of Real Property Tax Services Robert Diener $43,345

No one spoke at Friday's public hearing. Supervisors Carm Pascarella (Rose) and Dave Lyon (Palmyra) voted against the pay raises.
