Scouts Blue and Gold banquet is Sunday Cub Scout Pack 138 has had a good year under the leadership of Cub Master Dan Seppeler
and Assistant Cub Master Mary West. As of December 31, Cub Scout Pack 138 has 81 boys in
grades 1 through 5 registered with BSA. These boys are assigned to 11 dens which consist
of the ranks Tiger Cub, Wolf, Bear, and First, and Second Year Webelos. The theme this month celebrates Cub Scouting and the birthday of the Boy Scouts of America. The BSA was founded on February 8, 1910, making Scouting 87 years old. Cub Scouting was born in 1930. The highlight for the pack will be the annual Blue and Gold Banquet to be held on February 2 at St. Michael School. Many of the Second Year Webelos will be "crossing over" from Cub Scouts into Boy Scouts. Twelve boys will receive the Arrow of Light Award, Cub Scouting's highest award, during a ceremony at the banquet. Coming events include the Bowlathon at Rose Bowl Lanes and the Pinewood Derby. In June 1996, Pack 138 received certification for the 1996 Quality Unit Award from the Finger Lakes Council, as well as a Blue Ribbon for the Friends-of-Scouting pack level participation recognition.
