King Day march in Newark

Monday marked the first time that Wayne County's Martin Luther King Day observance was held in Newark. About 30 people walked from the Municipal Building at 100 East Miller Street to St. Michael's Church on South Main. The sign reads, "Still Marching, Lord, How Long?" The memorial service drew about 200 people to the sanctuary and was followed by a dinner. (Sandra Marcano photo)
