Light House concert features Marion Band

On Sunday, July 27, the Marion Community Band takes the outdoor stage at the Sodus Point Light House Museum, 7606 Ontario Street, Sodus Point. The 3 p.m. concert is free.

Bring a beach blanket or lawn chair to relax on the lakeside bluff and enjoy the beautiful music. Volunteers from the Sodus Bay Historical Society will be serving grilled luncheon favorites, iced drinks and hot buttered popcorn.

The Lighthouse Museum and nautical gift shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Light House buffs should ask about membership and volunteer opportunities available. From gardeners to good cooks, many are needed to keep the Light House running in top form.

Call (315) 483-4032 Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and speak to Museum managers Jack and Char Sherman.
