Getting ready for The Wall

The Moving Wall is scheduled to roll into Newark this afternoon for its visit August 1-7. The travelling Vietnam Memorial will be assembled tomorrow at Stuart Park, Route 88, just south of the village.

Pictured are Dennis Tellier and his son, Jason, as they help prepare for The Moving Wall. The two volunteered their time and expertise to repair the two bridges at Stuart Park. (Dennis is a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Newark Veterans Council.)

Opening Ceremonies for the Memorial's visit will be held Saturday (Aug. 2) at 10 a.m. A special Canadian Memorial Service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m., and Closing Ceremonies will be Monday, August 7 at 7 p.m.
