Newark Library to hold Brew Fest

The Newark Public Library will hold its second annual Brew Fest on Saturday, March 15 from 7-10 p.m. At Taps in the Stacks, you can sample brews from all over the country and the world - ales, lagers, stouts from such brewers as Samuel Smith, Ayinger, Yuengling, Saranac, Anchor Steam, Lindeman, Empire Brewing and Shipyard.

Score sheets will be available to help you evaluate the samples for color, aroma and taste. Maybe your favorite will be a Bock, a Barley wine, or even a raspberry dessert beer - Frambois.

Throughout the evening, there will be refreshments and door prizes. Some participating breweries, retailers and distributors have donated brewery collectibles and other merchandise to be given as prizes. Some brewers and distributors will be on hand to answer questions.

Reservations will be limited to 100. Reserve by phoning (315) 331-4370, or stop by the Library at the corner of High and Mason Streets. The price Is $15 per person. All proceeds will benefit the Library.
