Area students in dance concert

Sarah Anders and Gretchen Wolfanger, Hope College students, performed in the "Dance 23" concert presented at the college on Thursday-Saturday, March 6-8.

The annual Dance concert is choreographed by faculty members in Hope's department of dance, and features student performers. This year's concert presented seven works of jazz, modern, tap and ballet, in addition to two jazz pieces performed by guest artist Benny Bell.

Anders, a first-year student from Newark, danced in "I Love You," a jazz piece performed to the music of Peggy Lee, Nancy Sinatra and Natalie Cole. She is the daughter of Lynn Anders of Newark and Robert Anders of Newark, and is a 1996 graduate of Newark High School.

Wolfanger, a junior from Marion, performed in "Ninfas Del Yuke," a modern piece, and "Meet Me at Midnight," a tap piece. Wolfanger is the daughter of James and Pamela Wolfanger of Marion, and is a 1994 graduate of Marion Central School.
