International Night planned in Newark

The Newark International Club will host its International Night on April 4, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the High School. Exchange students this year, Nora Juhasz of Hungary, and Piyarat Nuntarajit of Thailand, will be joined by students from Novgorod, Russia who are visiting Newark this Spring, and other international students from the area.

High school students and staff, their families, along with community friends are invited to enjoy this evening of multicultural activities, entertainment, speakers, and mini- bazaar. An international dinner buffet will be served from 6-7 featuring foods of Hungary, Thailand, Puerto Rico, Italy, and Russia, with desserts from around theworld.

The evening will feature entertainment provided by Henry Padron. His group, Los Caribes "Sounds of Salsa," will perform with poetry, percussion, and dance representative of Puerto Rico and the African-Caribbean cultures.

Tickets are on sale now in the high school office or from club members. The cost is $3, students; $5, adults; $10, families. Contact Linda Werts for more information, (315) 331- 5150. Reservations by March 31 please.
