Bandstand cachet will be sold

Newarkfest '97 will mark the 150th Anniversary of the Central Park bandstand. To commemorate the occasion, the cachet pictured here will be sold at the Newark Post Office on Saturday, June 7.

Plans for the special postmark and sketch of the bandstand were the coordinated efforts of Newarkfest Chairman Dave Henrichon, Anton Dotschkal, Ppostmaster Jim Blandino, and Gil Lewis of the Finger Lakes Stamp Club.
