Holiday Sale at WCCA Gallery

Opening on December 1 in Lyons, is Wayne County Council for the Arts' Holiday Show & Sale. The Arts Council's annual show & sale runs until December 24.

The Gallery is located on Broad Street and is open weekdays from 9 until 5 and Saturdays in December from 10 until 3. Call 946-5078 for more information.

Original, hand-crafted artwork from area painters and photographers, woodworkers and weavers, crafters, sculptors, potters and jewelers are traditionally featured at this seasonal event. If you are looking for a unique, one-of-a-kind gift for that special someone on your list this year, Wayne County Council for the Arts is the place to look.

Council for the Arts is still looking for talented individuals to display their original arts & crafts in this show. All types of original hand-crafted work from all types of artisans will be considered. There is no charge to display your work in this show. The Arts Council does, however, keep a 25 percent commission from all sales (twenty percent from members of the Arts Council). Artists do not have to be Wayne County residents to be included in this exciting opportunity.

The Council is also looking for volunteers to gallery-sit on Saturdays throughout this sale. Individuals are asked to donate two (or more) hours watching the store, recording sales and having fun being a part of the festivities.
