Singers wanted

Be a part of the Lyons Ecumenical Choir that is forming for a special "Service of Carols and Songs." The service will be held Sunday, December 14 at 3 p.m. at The First Lutheran Church of Lyons, located on Broad Street in Lyons (across from the village square).

The adult choir, under the direction of Camille Clark, will rehearse twice. The rehearsals are scheduled for Tuesday, November 18 and Tuesday, December 9 from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. at First Lutheran.

There will also be an ecumenical choir for children who are in grade 2-8 (whose voices have not yet changed). Fred Dunn, the organist for First Lutheran will direct the children. The ecumenical children's choir will rehearse Saturdays, December 6 and 13, from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Lutheran.

The "Service of Carols" will also feature musical groups and performers from the churches of Lyons. A reception will follow the service.

This event for families is being sponsored by the Inter-Church Council of Lyons. For additional information about the program or the choir, please contact Fred Dunn at 594-8536 or Rev. Gary Sawtelle of the Inter-Church Council at 946-9687.
