Joan Adriaansen is a patient at the Myers Hospital in Sodus with a broken hip.

Dr. Ron Mansdoerfer presented the sermon, Dealing With Hurt, at the Second Reformed Church on Sunday, November 9.

I stopped by to see Hazel Mc Mullin, the other day and she was in the process of baking 5 pecan pies. (Hazel will be 96 on December 23rd.)

Louise Allen, who just celebrated her 85th birthday on November 2, thanks relatives and friends for their cards and remembrances on her birthday.

The Mission Committee at the United Church wishes to thank those of their congregation who helped their church reach their goal of $200 for Blanket Sunday. This provides 40 blankets which will be sent to needy persons in many areas of the world.

The totals are in for the Make A Difference Day Can Drive at the United Church. Their youth collected 5804 cans and bottles for a total of $318.40. This money will be used to help needy families in our community.

A Family Roller Skating party, sponsored by the Marion PTA, will be held in the Elementary School Gym today from 7-8:30 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Marion High School Band Citrus Sale ends on November 17. Call the High School to get your order in. 926-4228.

November 13, 1947 - Stanley Phillips, teacher of Social Studies at Marion Central School, will attend, as an observer, the United Nations Assembly on Monday and Tuesday, November 17 and 18.

Rog and Gen Adriaansen attended their granddaughter Amy Adriaansen's induction into the National Honor Society at Wilson Magnet School. Amy is the daughter of Tom and Therese Adriaansen of Rochester.

Albert and Dolores Somerset attended the 81st Infantry reunion and dinner at Denver, Colorado. While there they went on a bus trip to Central City.

Leona Mason remains a patient at the Rochester General Hospital.

The Mystery Dinner Theater at the United Church is November 15 (tomorrow).

Mark Hussey, a sophomore, is the 1997 Section 5 Class CC champion in boys cross country. He qualified to compete in the State Championship on Long Island.

Rebecca Lewis and Crystal Wheeler finished in the top ten in cross country Sectional competition. Great year, girls!

Tennis player Lesley Bush was a consolation finals winner, 63 and 6-1. She got to plaly in state qualifier at Midtown Tennis CLub.

Wee Town USA, on South Main Street, proudly announces their annual Holiday Open House, November 14, 15 and 16. Hours are 9 to 6 Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 Sunday. Grand prize drawing, refreshments. 926-5603.
