Newark marks
Veterans' Day

The Newark High School Band performed during this village's Veterans Day ceremonies in Central Park. The band is conducted (and instructed) by David Schwind.

Presiding over the 11 a.m. service was Mayor Fred Pirelli (LTC USAF, Ret.). The Reverend Michael Marshal gave the invocation. Guest speakers were VFW Commander Ralph Miller, and American Legion Commander Rick Carr.

Keeping with Newark tradition, the fire siren was sounded for one minute at 11 a.m.

Following the ceremony, all gathered for an Open House at the Legion and the VFW.
