Lyons student shines in tennis and music

Lyons Central High School has been brought into the spotlight once again by senior Meaghan Partelow.

In tennis, Meaghan earned an outstanding record of 8-0 in class C and 12-2 in overall matches. She won first seed in the Sectional Qualifiers for Class C Section 5. Winning second place in Sectionals placed her in the State Qualifiers.

In another talent, Partelow has been selected to play for the Area All State Band for first clarinet Saturday. She is the sole representation on the state level for the Lyons Senior High School Music program.

She was also honored to be chosen an alternate for the Conference All State Band.
