Holiday exhibit planned in Lyons

Christmas in Wayne County is the title of a photo exhibit Wayne County Council for the Arts is scheduling for next December. Featuring pictures shot this year of lighted holiday decorations from homes and businesses in every town and village in the county, the Arts Council needs you to make this show as successful as possible.

If you have or know of any beautifully and fantastically decorated and lighted homes, contact Wayne County Council for the Arts at 315-946-5078 as soon as possible so they can be sure to include them in this exciting holiday exhibit.

"We don't want to miss anything so we're really relying on the public to help us out with this," said Arts Council Executive Director, Kevin Schoonover. "We've got the county divided up and assigned to different photographers but we're sure to skip somebody's beautiful decorations if people don't respond."

Christmas in Wayne County will run concurrently with next year's Holiday Show & Sale. Wayne County Council for the Arts plans to include a map of the photographed sites as part of the 1998 exhibition encouraging gallery visitors to go out and see for themselves the subjects of this show.

This year's Holiday Show opens December 1 and is open until Christmas Eve. The Arts Council is located at 2 Broad Street in Lyons. Hours are weekdays, 9 to 5 and Saturdays from 10 to 3. Admission is free. Call 946-5078 for more information.
