Happenings The winners of the drawings at the United Church Bazaar: Donna Anderson of Ovid won the cross-stitch picture; Joyce Cantwell won the McDonald House cookbook; Roger Larwood won the Mr. & Mrs. Santa and the Santa Doll. Remember: The Marion Museum Holiday Open House will be on Saturday, December 6, from 10 am until 2 pm. Pam Wolfanger has returned home after a hospital stay. Children's and Adult "Testimonies of Thanks" were given by the congregation at the Second Reformed Church on Sunday, November 23. Carol Boerman spent time with her daughter, Donna and Craig Schultz and her granddaughter, Sarah, in Florida, recently. The winner of the door prize drawing at the Avon Open House was Jill Adriaansen. It was a collection of special makeup and colognes offered by that company. December 4, 1925: The Marion High School Basketball team won a close victory in a fast game from Shortsville High School, Thanksgiving Eve. The final score was 19 to 18. The fact that last week Shortsville beat Palmyra 29 to 9 speaks well for our team. The reserves nosed out a one point victory over the reserves of Shortsville after an extra five minute period. The girls team also won but by a more decisive victory that than the boys. The final score being 14 to 2. The Women's Guild at the United Church held a pie sale which funded the placement of new carpet in the narthex and the Main Street entryway of the Church. On November 23, the Senior High young people of the United Church served Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless at the Salvation Army in Rochester. Milton Ameele continues to recover from surgery. Harold Semmler is presently residing at the DeMay Living Center in Newark. Three young people from the United Church, Melissa Wilson, Lesley Bush and Crystal Halstead, accompanied Barb Wilson to the ABC NYS Youth Convention in Syracuse.
