Let It Rain is the title of the Noah's Ark display being held at the Marion Museum on Saturday, October 25 from 10 to noon. Anyone wishing to share anything from their collection is most welcome. Call 926-4436 or bring it on the day of the showing.

CONGRATULATIONS To Fred and Jeannette Stubenrod on their 61st wedding anniversary on September 30.

The United Church Pie Sale is planned at Mark's Pizzeria on Friday, October 3.

Gordon and Shirley Buyck from Michigan have been in Marion and the vicinity visiting with their mother, Kate Buyck, and other family members.

Helen Nevelizer had a three-day visit with her family, Albert and Nancy Nevelizer of Witherden Road. Helen is currently working on a 1500-acre horse farm in Kentucky which breeds and sells race horses.

The Rev. Russell Pater was welcomed as Guest Pastor at the First Reformed Church on Sunday, September 28.

October 25, 1922 - Erotus Warner has sold his share of the coal business of E. Warner and Son to his son, Melvin E. Warner. The business will continue under the old name.

Sports

The varsity boys soccer team won 1-0 on Sept. 25 at North Rose-Wolcott, defeated Gananda 5-2 and Red Creek 4-1. The JV boys are 7-3 after defeating NRW 2-0 and Gananda 4-0. The A boys defeated Gananda 6-0; the B boys topped Pal-Mac 8-3.

Girls modified soccer team tied Williamson 5-5. The varsity girls lost to Williamson 3-2. Shannon Gaston scored the Marion goals. The 7th grade girls tied Sodus 2-2 and defeated Red Creek 5-3. The 8th graders tied NRW 2-2. JV girls soccer team tied Williamson 2-2.

The girls cross-country team defeated four schools last week, while Marion boys won two and lost two. Rebecca Lewis and Mark Hussey were both winners. Marion runnerss did well at Marcus Whitman Invitational: Winning medals for Marion were Lewis and Hussey, Crystal Wheeler and Makena Mason.

The tennis team swept Sodus 5-0, lost 4-1 to Pal-Mac (first doubles winners were Tara Schinsing and Sarah Schreiber); Marion varsity and JV defeated NRW.
