Harvest Festival and auction

If you enjoy apple pies, the East Palmyra Christian School 17th Annual Harvest Festival and Auction will be the place you'll want to be.

A variety of people, including grandparents, parents, and students, got together after school this week to "assemble" about 80 apple pies. Five bushels of apples, picked up at The Apple Shed and donated by Ron and Gail Milliman, were peeled, cored, and sliced, carefully placed in pastry shells, bathed in apple pie spices, and covered with flaky crusts.

The frozen pies will be sold at the Festival Saturday, October 11. (These $5 pies are available at the school anytime prior to that date.)
