History-at-Noon traces firefighting The history of firefighting in Lyons will be traced by Bill Maddock in the next History-at-Noon, presented by the Wayne County Historical Society. The presentation will take place at the Lyons Public Library on Friday, October 17, at 12:10 and is free to the public. Participants may bring a lunch; coffee and cookies will be served. Firefighting equipment, chiefly from Lyons, is also on display in the Wayne County Museum's barn galleries. The Museum is open Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 10 to 3. The barn galleries remain open only as long as we are on daylight saving time, so the last day for the visiting those exhibits this season is Friday, October 24.
